The Zojila Pass, a high-altitude mountain pass, was covered with 6 to 7 inches of snow, leading to the temporary closure of the highway for traffic movement.
Despite the challenging weather conditions and poor visibility, the dedicated Police team at Police Post Minamarg went above and beyond to ensure the safe passage of an ambulance carrying a patient from Drass to Srinagar, guaranteeing timely medical attention for the individual.
A Police official commended the efforts, highlighting the unwavering commitment and humanitarian values of the Ladakh Police force in serving the public during extreme circumstances.
With the snowfall intensifying, the Traffic Police issued advisories urging commuters to adhere to official guidelines and exercise caution when navigating high-altitude passes during snowy conditions.
