On December 31st, the HexaMed BIG Jammu Kashmir Premier League (BIG JKPL) witnessed two thrilling matches at the University of Jammu Ground, with Nice Gems and Sultan Warriors Baramulla emerging victorious in their respective encounters.

Nice Gems vs. Power Panthers
In the first match of the day, Nice Gems faced off against Power Panthers. Opting to bat first after winning the toss, Nice Gems displayed a dominant performance, setting a formidable total of 238 runs for the loss of 6 wickets.
Raghav Thakur stole the show with a magnificent innings, scoring 71 runs off just 21 balls, including six massive sixes that demoralized the opposition bowlers.
In response, Power Panthers struggled to chase down the target and were restricted to 135 runs, resulting in a convincing 103-run victory for Nice Gems. Naveen’s impressive bowling spell, which accounted for three crucial wickets, played a pivotal role in the outcome.
Achintya Khajuria was named the Man of the Match for his stellar all-round performance, contributing 45 runs with the bat and claiming two wickets with the ball.
Sultan Warriors Baramulla vs. Valley Stars Ganderbal
The second match of the day featured a clash between Sultan Warriors Baramulla and Valley Stars Ganderbal. Sultan Warriors, batting first after winning the toss, posted a competitive total of 150 runs.
Asim Bashir led the charge with a well-constructed 49 runs off 26 deliveries, supported by Nasir Ganie’s quickfire 27 runs off 14 balls. Despite Nadeem Darr’s impressive bowling figures of five wickets, Sultan Warriors managed to set a challenging target.
In reply, Valley Stars Ganderbal faltered and were bowled out for 104 runs, paving the way for Sultan Warriors to secure a 46-run victory. Asim Bashir’s match-winning performance earned him the Man of the Match award.
