Trade Agreements Open New Opportunities For Youth: PM Modi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted India’s focus on fostering trade and mobility agreements with various countries to create fresh opportunities for the youth, both domestically and internationally. Speaking at the 18th Rozgar Mela, he digitally distributed 61,000 appointment letters for government positions.
Emphasizing the significance of these agreements, Modi pointed out that they are instrumental in opening up avenues for the country’s young population. He stressed the government’s commitment to providing diverse opportunities for the youth within India and overseas.
Addressing the newly appointed individuals, the Prime Minister encouraged them to view their appointment as a chance to contribute to nation-building and strive towards a prosperous India. He urged them to draw inspiration from their past experiences and ensure that citizens do not face unnecessary challenges during their tenure.
Modi also urged the youth to adopt the principle of ‘Nagrik Devo Bhava’ (citizen is akin to God) while carrying out their responsibilities. He highlighted the government’s substantial investments in modern infrastructure, leading to increased employment in construction-related sectors.
Furthermore, Modi underscored the rapid expansion of India’s startup ecosystem, with a significant number of startups employing a large workforce. He praised the role of ‘Digital India’ in fueling a new economy and positioning India as a global hub in various sectors such as animation and digital media.
Discussing recent reforms, the Prime Minister mentioned the positive impact of GST amendments on youth entrepreneurs and MSMEs, as well as the benefits of historic labor reforms in enhancing social security for workers and employees.
Modi highlighted the broadened scope of social security through new labor codes and stressed the importance of these reforms in empowering the workforce. He concluded by emphasizing the government’s commitment to streamlining processes and making both personal and business endeavors more straightforward.
