Tragic Accident in Pattan Claims One Life and Leaves Another Injured
On a fateful Thursday morning in Pattan, North Kashmir, a devastating collision between a truck and a vehicle resulted in the loss of a man’s life and left his brother critically injured. The incident took place at Hyderbeigh, where a truck with registration number JK03E 8418, traveling from Srinagar to Baramulla, collided with an Eco vehicle bearing registration number JK04H 7988, coming from the opposite direction.
The driver of the Eco, identified as Javid Ahmad Najar, son of Ghulam Nabi Najar from Hygam, tragically lost his life in the collision. His brother, Rayees Ahmad, who was also present in the vehicle, sustained severe injuries and was immediately taken to a nearby hospital. Due to the seriousness of his condition, he was later referred to JVC Hospital in Srinagar for further medical attention.
Authorities have taken swift action following the incident, with a case being registered at Pattan Police Station, and an investigation is currently underway. The police are diligently working to determine the cause of the accident and ensure accountability for the tragic outcome. (KNS)
