National Security Advisor Ajit Doval Emphasizes Strengthening India’s Security and Independence
In a recent address at the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue, National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval underscored the importance of bolstering India’s security not only at its borders but in all aspects, including economically, to overcome a history of attacks and subjugation.
Doval, speaking as the guest of honor, drew inspiration from the sacrifices of freedom fighters like Mahatma Gandhi, Subhash Chandra Bose, and Bhagat Singh to highlight the significance of securing the nation’s future.
He reflected on the struggles endured by those who fought for India’s independence, noting the sacrifices made by individuals like Bhagat Singh, the lifelong struggle of Subhash Chandra Bose, and Mahatma Gandhi’s nonviolent resistance through satyagraha.
The 81-year-old former Intelligence Bureau director emphasized the need to avenge the country’s history by striving for greatness in all aspects, not just border security but also in terms of economic prosperity and social development.
Addressing the young delegates in attendance, Doval emphasized the role of leadership in shaping the nation’s destiny, quoting Napoleon to illustrate the importance of strong leadership exemplified by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He urged the audience to reflect on India’s past as a progressive society that did not engage in attacks on other civilizations or their religious sites. However, he cautioned that a lack of self-awareness regarding security in the past had taught the country valuable lessons that must not be forgotten.
Doval stressed the importance of learning from history and ensuring that the youth of the nation remember the sacrifices made by their predecessors to secure India’s independence and sovereignty.
