PIB Srinagar Organizes Media Tour for Regional Journalists

Srinagar: The Press Information Bureau (PIB), Srinagar Region, has recently launched a press tour aimed at fostering closer ties with journalists from the local community. This initiative is part of PIB’s ongoing efforts to engage with the media and enhance communication channels.

The press tour, which began on February 2, 2026, will run until February 7, 2026, providing a unique opportunity for a 14-member press delegation from Srinagar to explore Central Government initiatives in Kerala. The delegation, led by Shri Majid Pandit, Media & Communication Officer at PIB Srinagar, includes journalists and PIB officials.

Prior to their departure, Shri Qazi Salman, Director of PIB Srinagar, briefed the delegation on the objectives of the tour and encouraged constructive engagement with government officials during their interactions in Kerala. The tour is designed to offer journalists firsthand exposure to key government projects and initiatives at the national level.

During the briefing, Shri Salman expressed his best wishes to the participants, stating, “I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all participants and wish you all the best for the upcoming tour to Kerala. This visit will provide valuable insights into the operations of government institutions and promote professional development.”

Throughout the five-day tour, the delegation will visit various Central Government establishments and projects in Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram. They will have the opportunity to interact with senior officials and gain a better understanding of their roles and responsibilities.
