Special Passport Drive in Srinagar

Srinagar: In response to the high demand for passport services, the Passport Office Srinagar has announced a special drive scheduled for 14th and 21st February 2026 (Saturdays). As part of this initiative, Post Office Passport Seva Kendra (POPSK) Anantnag and Post Office Passport Seva Kendra (POPSK) Baramulla will be open on these dates to process passport applications.

The special drive is part of the Passport Seva Project by the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, aimed at meeting the continuous demand for passport services. The primary goal is to ensure prompt, efficient, and transparent delivery of passport services to the citizens.

Mr. B. S. Rawat, Regional Passport Officer, Srinagar, emphasized that the special drive demonstrates the Office’s dedication to improving service delivery and reducing waiting times for applicants. Additional operational days have been scheduled to accommodate the increasing number of passport applications and offer more convenience to residents of Anantnag, Baramulla, and nearby districts.

Applicants must arrive at the designated center at the scheduled time with the appointment confirmation and all necessary original documents.
