Jammu & Kashmir’s Rich Spiritual Heritage: A Valuable Asset for Growth
The Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, LG Sinha, highlighted the region’s rich spiritual heritage as a dynamic asset that has been present since the Vedic ages. He emphasized that the traditional values have served as guiding principles, laying the ethical foundation for overall growth.
Lieutenant Governor Sinha stressed the importance of instilling values such as compassion, humility, and resilience to strengthen community bonds. He mentioned that for Jammu & Kashmir to progress, its citizens need to focus on innovation, intellectual growth, research and development, promotion of creative industries, and investment in heritage.
During the launch of the special edition of ‘Sangarmal’ magazine by the Hindu Education Society Kashmir, LG Sinha spoke about the significance of social cohesion and using cultural-spiritual heritage and education as a unifying thread for a thriving future. He reiterated the importance of values in building a strong community.
According to the Lieutenant Governor, in a rapidly evolving technological and globalized world, the timeless spiritual and cultural heritage, shared beliefs, traditions, arts, rituals, and values will shape society and drive the holistic growth of the nation. He mentioned that the ancient cultural heritage and spiritual wisdom of the Union Territory will propel societal growth.
LG Sinha commended the Hindu Education Society, Kashmir, for its efforts in raising public awareness about culture, social responsibilities, and the transformative power of education. The launch ceremony was attended by prominent individuals from different spheres of life.
