Selection Trials for 36th Senior National Tennis Ball Cricket Championship
In an exciting development for tennis ball cricket enthusiasts in Jammu and Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Tennis Ball Cricket Association is set to conduct two-day selection trials for the 36th Senior National Tennis Ball Cricket Championship. The trials will be held at M.A. Stadium in Srinagar on January 4 and 5, 2026.
The primary objective of the trials is to choose the best players to represent the J&K UT senior men’s and women’s teams at the national championship, which is scheduled to take place in Nagpur, Maharashtra from January 19 to 22, 2026.
Details for Interested Players
Aspiring players who wish to participate in the trials are required to report at MA Stadium in Jammu on January 4 at 10:30 am, dressed in appropriate playing attire. The trials will kick off promptly at 11 am. It is essential for players to bring six recent passport-size photographs, as well as Xerox copies of their domicile certificate and a physical fitness certificate issued by a registered physician.

Further Steps for Selected Players
Upon successful selection, players will be required to attend a 10-day residential coaching camp from January 6 to 15, 2026. Following the coaching camp, the final screening of the selected teams will take place at the same venue on January 15, 2026, at 1:00 pm, conducted by the J&K Sports Council.
Subsequently, the UT teams will depart for Nagpur on the evening of January 15, 2026. It is imperative for participants to have prior experience playing at the district and UT level before representing J&K UT at any national or all-India championship.
