Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor and Northern Army Commander Extend Greetings on Armed Forces Veterans Day
On January 14, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Northern Army Commander Lt Gen Pratik Sharma conveyed their heartfelt wishes to veterans on the occasion of Armed Forces Veterans Day.
Lt Governor Sinha expressed his gratitude towards veterans and commended the bravery of the courageous men and women of the Armed Forces.
“I extend my deepest gratitude to the Veer Naris and family members of veterans,” stated the Office of the Lieutenant Governor in a social media post.
Lt Gen Sharma and all personnel of the Northern Command also extended their greetings to veterans, their families, and veer naris (wives of defense personnel who have sacrificed their lives for the nation) on the 10th Armed Forces Veterans’ Day 2026, as announced by the Northern Command on social media.
Lt Governor Sinha is scheduled to address the 10th Armed Forces Veterans’ Day rally later in the day.
The Indian Army initiated the 10th Armed Forces Veterans’ Day celebrations with a grand two-day ex-servicemen rally in the border district of Rajouri, demonstrating the nation’s commitment to honoring the service and sacrifices of its veterans.
