Jammu and Kashmir Hotel and Restaurant Association Applauds Reopening of Tourist Destinations
Amidst the picturesque backdrop of Srinagar, on February 16, the Jammu and Kashmir Hotel and Restaurant Association (JKHARA) greeted the reopening of 14 prominent tourist destinations across the region with open arms. This move has been deemed a significant and timely boost for the tourism and hospitality sector in Jammu and Kashmir.
President of JKHARA, Babar Chowdhary, conveyed his heartfelt appreciation for the administration’s decision in an official statement released today. He reiterated the association’s longstanding plea for the reopening of key tourist spots, emphasizing the crucial role these locations play in sustaining the tourism industry and supporting the livelihoods of numerous families dependent on tourist activities.
Chowdhary emphasized, “The reopening of these destinations is not only vital for the tourism industry but also for thousands of families whose livelihoods depend directly and indirectly on tourist activities.”
JKHARA commended the proactive stance taken by the administration and extended sincere gratitude to Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha for issuing the necessary directives to facilitate the reopening of the 14 destinations. This step is expected to instill confidence among tourists, travel operators, hoteliers, restaurateurs, transporters, and other stakeholders who are integral to Jammu and Kashmir’s tourism ecosystem.
