Jammu and Kashmir Education Minister Assures Timely Declaration of Class 10 Exam Results
In an official statement on Monday, Education Minister Sakina Itoo of Jammu and Kashmir reassured students that the results for the Class 10 examinations in the winter zone of Kashmir are prepared and will be announced on schedule. The only hindrance to the prompt declaration is the pending appointment of the Chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE).
Addressing concerns raised by students and parents regarding the delay in result publication, Minister Itoo emphasized the necessity of the Chairman’s approval for finalizing the results. She stated, “There is a proper procedure in place. Without the Chairman’s approval, the results cannot be officially announced. Nevertheless, the results are all set and will be disclosed in due time, possibly even earlier than last year.”
Furthermore, JKBOSE Secretary Ghulam Hussain Sheikh affirmed that the results are meticulously prepared and eagerly await formal clearance. He commented, “The only obstacle we face currently is the appointment of the Chairman. The government is actively working towards resolving this issue, and we anticipate the appointment to be finalized shortly.”
The delay in announcing the results has triggered anxiety among students in Kashmir, with many expressing concerns about the potential impact on their academic schedules and admission processes as highlighted by KNS.
