Islamic University of Science and Technology Excels in Table Tennis Tournament
Awantipora, January 22: The Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) showcased their sporting prowess by winning five silver medals in table tennis at the third Chancellor’s State-Level Tournament hosted by the University of Jammu. The tournament saw participation from 19 prestigious institutions across the North Zone.
Professor Shakil Ahmad Romshoo, in a statement released by IUST on Thursday, extended his congratulations to the participants. He emphasized the university’s strong commitment to extracurricular activities, highlighting IUST’s unique approach of recognizing and rewarding student participation in such activities. Prof. Romshoo also revealed the university’s sports action plan, which focuses on developing top-notch infrastructure and engaging renowned sports personalities as professors to enhance the overall sports program.
The sports incharge, Mursheed Ahmad Khan, commended the team led by Dr. Hilal Ahmad Rather, Assistant Director of Sports, for their outstanding performance.
