Joint Search Operation Conducted in Kathua District to Ensure Safety
Kathua, Jan 15: A joint search operation was led by Deputy Inspector General of Police, JSK Range, Shiv Kumar in collaboration with the Army and CRPF in various areas of Kathua district in response to reports of suspected movement.
The operation took place in Jakhole and Saghroon villages of Kathua district following sightings of two suspects in the area. Security forces conducted thorough checks in the Jakhole route of the Suffain area, Sanganoo forest area, and locations under Police Posts Chingara and Manamal, along with surrounding areas.
Accompanying the DIG were Senior Superintendent of Police Kathua Mohita Sharma, SP Operations Kathua Mukund, SP Operations Billawar, SDPO Border Kathua, SHO Rajbagh, SHO Billawar, and other police officers.
Simultaneously, a separate joint search operation was carried out with the Army and CRPF in the Billawar area, including the forest region of Najot village in Kathua district. The surrounding areas underwent systematic and detailed searches as part of the coordinated effort.
During the operations, the DIG JSK Range emphasized the importance of vigilance among Village Defence Guards in their respective areas and urged the public to cooperate with security agencies and stay alert.
It was advised to locals to report any suspicious movements or security-related information to the nearest police station promptly.
Security officials clarified that the search operations were precautionary measures aimed at ensuring safety and upholding law and order in the region. [KNT]
