Trump Administration Forms “Board of Peace” for Gaza
The Trump administration has recently announced the establishment of a new “Board of Peace” for Gaza, aimed at bringing an end to the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict. This board will be chaired by President Donald Trump himself and will include prominent figures such as World Bank president Ajay Banga, former UK prime minister Sir Tony Blair, and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
According to a report by the BBC, the board is part of a 20-point plan put forth by President Trump to address the conflict in Gaza. One of the key objectives of the board is to oversee the administration of Gaza and coordinate its reconstruction efforts.
Joining President Trump on the founding executive board are his Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff, son-in-law Jared Kushner, Marc Rowan, head of a private equity firm, and US national security adviser Robert Gabriel. Each member will be assigned specific responsibilities aimed at stabilizing Gaza and facilitating its long-term recovery.
The White House has also announced that additional members will be appointed to the board in the coming weeks.
