Interaction of Lieutenant Governor with IAS Officer Trainees in Jammu
On Monday, Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha engaged in a fruitful interaction with the IAS Officer Trainees of the 2025 Batch during their 5-day visit to Jammu as part of the Winter Study Tour under the Bharat Darshan Programme.
The Officer Trainees, currently undergoing Phase-1 training at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) in Mussoorie, had the opportunity to gain insights on governance and public service from the Lieutenant Governor. He also shed light on the remarkable transformation journey of Jammu and Kashmir across various sectors.
The group of IAS Officer Trainees includes individuals from different cadres such as Haryana, West Bengal, AGMUT, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Rajasthan, led by Shri Umesh Kumar Meena. Dr. Rakesh Minhas, Deputy Commissioner Jammu, also graced the interaction with his presence.
The itinerary of the programme comprises visits to significant locations such as the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine, Salal Hydroelectric Power Project, Bari Brahmana SIDCO Industrial Area, India-Pakistan border, and a city tour of Jammu. This immersive experience aims to provide the Officer Trainees with a firsthand understanding of the administrative, developmental, and cultural landscape of the region, enhancing their professional training and governance sensitivity in diverse administrative settings.
