Jammu & Kashmir Tourism Department Unveils 2026 Calendars
In an exciting event at the Civil Secretariat, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah revealed the 2026 calendars of the Tourism Department and the Jammu & Kashmir Cable Car Corporation. These calendars showcase the beauty of various tourist destinations and the evolving tourism infrastructure in the region.
Chief Minister Abdullah commended the efforts of the departments involved, emphasizing the importance of such initiatives in promoting Jammu and Kashmir’s tourism potential. He described the calendars as visual representations of the natural splendor and development in the tourism sector of the state.
Additionally, the Chief Minister launched the official website of the Directorate of Tourism, Kashmir during the event. This website aims to publicize tourism events and destinations, maintain digital archives, and provide comprehensive information about tourism in Jammu and Kashmir. It also includes links to Jammu Tourism, JKTDC, J&K Cable Car Corporation, and other relevant organizations, offering a one-stop platform for all tourism-related information.
Highlighting the significance of a strong digital presence, Chief Minister Abdullah stressed the importance of the new Tourism Kashmir website in providing information to tourists and stakeholders in a user-friendly manner.
Moreover, the Chief Minister inaugurated the Integrated Skiing Course at Gulmarg and Sonamarg, which will train batches of young individuals in skiing over a 14-day period. This initiative aims to promote winter sports and adventure tourism in the region.
