This initiative, funded under the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) for the year 2025–26, aims to revolutionize the learning experience for students in the region.
The distribution ceremony, held at Government Boys Model Higher Secondary School, Banihal, saw the presence of key dignitaries including CEO Ramban Mohd Sultan Khan, AD Planning Farooq Ahmed Rahi, as well as Education Department officials, school principals, teachers, and other stakeholders.

Shaheen reiterated his commitment to educational infrastructure development, stating that the Smart Boards, procured at a cost of Rs 57 lakh, will be installed in all Government Higher Secondary and High Schools across the constituency. This move ensures that even students in remote areas have access to technology-enabled learning.
Furthermore, Shaheen revealed that significant funding of Rs 31 crore has been allocated for comprehensive infrastructure upgrades in schools within the constituency. This funding will support enhancements to school buildings, classrooms, laboratories, and essential facilities, with a focus on institutions like GHSS Banihal, GHSS Pogal, GHSS Khari, GHS Indh Gool, LHS Bhimdasa, and others.
With a strong commitment to improving education in remote areas, the MLA highlighted ongoing efforts to modernize school infrastructure and provide digital facilities to every school in Banihal–Gool. This holistic approach aims to elevate the quality of education and enhance learning outcomes across the region.
Appreciating the dedication of the Education Department and teachers, Shaheen urged school administrations to ensure the proper utilization and maintenance of the Smart Boards for maximum academic benefit.
