Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Chief Minister Calls for Rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits
The Deputy Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Surinder Choudhary, emphasized the importance of rehabilitating Kashmiri Pandits during a recent statement. He highlighted that their return is crucial for restoring the beauty and harmony of Kashmir.
Referring to the stance of National Conference leader Dr. Farooq Abdullah and former CM Omar Abdullah, Choudhary reiterated the belief that the presence of Kashmiri Pandits is essential for reviving the essence of Kashmir. He stated, “Dr. Farooq Abdullah has always emphasized that the rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits in Jammu and Kashmir will contribute significantly to the restoration of Kashmir’s beauty and harmony.”
Choudhary stressed the significance of Kashmiri Pandits’ return for fostering true brotherhood and communal harmony in the region. He expressed that the community’s presence is integral to completing the beauty of Kashmir and reviving its famed hospitality.
The Deputy Chief Minister urged the central government to take prompt and decisive actions to facilitate the swift return of Kashmiri Pandits to their homeland. He expressed hope that the government would prioritize this matter to ensure the reunion of the community with Kashmir.
