Srinagar DC Reviews Progress of Mission Yuva Initiative
In a recent meeting held at the DC Office Complex, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Akshay Labroo, evaluated the performance of line departments and banks in the implementation of the Mission Yuva initiative on December 29.
Present at the meeting were Additional Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Mir Imtiyaz Ul Aziz; Chief Planning Officer, Fayaz Ahmad Dar; SDM, West, Irfan Bahadur; SDM East, Zubair Ahmad; Assistant Commissioner Revenue Umar Gulzar; Deputy Director Employment, Zonal Head Jammu and Kashmir Bank, LDM(Banks), along with officers from various line departments and senior Officers of J&K Bank.
During the meeting, the DC conducted a thorough review of the progress made by each bank and department under Mission Yuva, a government initiative focused on empowering youth, generating employment, developing skills, and providing financial assistance to aspiring entrepreneurs.
Emphasizing the importance of capacity building for beneficiaries as outlined in Mission Yuva guidelines, the DC urged officers to expedite the processing and verification of genuine applications to ensure timely benefits for deserving candidates. He also highlighted the need for underperforming banks to improve their pace in implementing the scheme effectively.
While commending the efforts of some line departments and banks, the DC expressed concern over the slow progress of certain banks in implementing Mission Yuva. He urged all stakeholder departments to work together seamlessly to ensure the successful implementation of the initiative across the district.
