Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Launches Integrated Ski Training Course in Kashmir Valley
The Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Omar Abdullah, recently inaugurated a 14-day integrated ski training course at popular tourist destinations in the Kashmir valley. The course aims to promote winter tourism in the region and provide certified skiing training to 500-600 students aged between 12 and 18.
Some of the well-known skiing locations in the valley, such as Gulmarg, Sonmarg, and Doodhpathri, will be part of this initiative. The Integrated Ski Training Course offers comprehensive and affordable programs focusing on foundational skills like gliding, snow ploughing, and turns.
The Office of the Chief Minister, J-K, announced that the 14-day course will firmly place these destinations on the skiing map. In addition to this, Abdullah also unveiled the official calendars of the Tourism Department and the J-K Cable Car Corporation.
Featuring stunning photographs of destinations across Jammu and Kashmir, the calendars aim to boost tourism promotion by showcasing the region’s breathtaking landscapes, cultural heritage, and tourist treasures.
