Chief Minister Omar Abdullah Chairs Pre-Budget Consultation Meetings in Jammu
In a series of pre-budget consultation meetings in Jammu, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah led discussions on key sectors to finalize priorities and developmental plans for the upcoming Budget Session of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly.
Deputy CM Surinder Kumar Choudhary, along with Ministers Javid Ahmad Rana, Javid Ahmad Dar, and Satish Sharma, Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo, ACS Jal Shakti Shaleen Kabra, and other senior officials were present at the meetings.
During the discussions, the Chief Minister assessed sector-specific proposals, ongoing projects, and identified challenges while emphasizing the need for practical, efficient, and impactful budget allocations.
He highlighted the importance of realistic planning and implementable budget proposals that can deliver tangible benefits to the people. The Chief Minister also stressed the significance of coordination among departments to optimize resource utilization and avoid duplication of efforts.
Focusing on sectors like water supply, agriculture, rural livelihoods, and environmental conservation, the Chief Minister directed officials to prioritize initiatives that enhance service delivery, infrastructure development, and employment generation, particularly benefiting farmers and rural communities.
Emphasizing accountability and outcome-based budgeting, he urged departments to align their proposals with clear performance indicators to ensure effective implementation.
