Shah’s visit to the region commenced with an inspection of the Border Security Force (BSF) outposts at Gurnam and Bobiyian along the International Border in Kathua district. Following this, a security review meeting was held with the presence of Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi, focusing on combating terrorism in J-K.
During his visit, Shah met with the families of brave policemen who sacrificed their lives in the fight against terrorism, providing job opportunities to them. Additionally, a BJP delegation also had the opportunity to discuss matters with the home minister.
