Anantnag Waqf Board Chairperson Dr. Syed Darakhshan Andrabi Visits Kabamarg Shrine
In a recent development, the Chairperson of the J&K Waqf Board, Syed Dr. Syed Darakhshan Andrabi, who also serves as a Minister of State, made a visit to the revered Aasar-e-Shareef Kabamarg shrine in Anantnag. During her visit, Dr. Andrabi paid her respects at the famous shrine, marking a significant moment for the local community.
Accompanied by Waqf Board officials and engineers, Dr. Andrabi took part in an inauguration event at the shrine. She unveiled the newly constructed Administrative Block and the Ornamental Aluminum Composite Panel (OACP) Dome of the Ziyarat. Additionally, she inaugurated the upgradation works at the Grand Masjid within the shrine premises, emphasizing the Board’s commitment to the continuous development of Kabamarg and all shrines under its jurisdiction across Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Darakhshan highlighted the Board’s dedication to enhancing the infrastructure and facilities at Kabamarg shrine. She emphasized the importance of utilizing innovative and sustainable technologies in their projects to ensure quality development within a specified timeline. Transparency and accountability remain key principles guiding their infrastructure initiatives in both divisions of J&K.
Following her visit to Kabamarg, Dr. Andrabi proceeded to the shrine of Syed Ahmad Kirmani (RA) at Movera, Pahalgam, where she offered prayers for the well-being and peace of all. Speaking to the media, she reiterated the Board’s focus on improving facilities for devotees, including the construction of sanitary facilities, pathways, Masjid upgradation, and other essential amenities.
Executive Magistrate of the Board, Ishtiyaq Mohiuddin, accompanied Dr. Andrabi during her tour, underscoring the collaborative efforts to enhance the religious sites under the Waqf Board’s purview.
