Weather Forecast for Jammu and Kashmir: Dry Conditions Expected Till February 24
The Meteorological Centre in Srinagar has predicted that Jammu and Kashmir will experience predominantly dry weather conditions until February 24. There are no significant rain or snowfall events anticipated during this period.
On February 15 and 16, the weather is expected to remain dry in most parts of the Union Territory. However, isolated higher reaches may experience light snowfall during the night of February 16 and early morning of February 17.
Between February 18 and 24, the region is likely to enjoy dry weather, providing a respite from the frequent winter disturbances that occurred earlier in the season. Daytime temperatures are forecasted to gradually increase with extended periods of sunshine, while nights could remain cold, especially in higher altitude areas.
Looking ahead, February 25 and 26 may see cloudy skies with the possibility of light rain or snowfall at isolated locations. Subsequently, dry weather is expected to return on February 27 and 28.
As of now, no significant weather advisories have been issued by authorities. Nonetheless, individuals planning to visit higher elevations are advised to stay informed about local forecasts, particularly during the brief period when light snowfall is possible.
