National Security Guard conducts Advanced Training Programme on Counter IEDs for Jammu and Kashmir Police
The National Security Guard (NSG) recently organized a two-week advanced training programme on Counter Improvised Explosive Devices (CIED) for personnel of Jammu and Kashmir Police in Udhampur district. This specialized training aimed at enhancing the operational capabilities of police personnel in handling IED-related threats and mitigating risks associated with the disposal of explosive substances.
Training Participants
A total of 53 officers and officials from Bomb Disposal Squads (BDS) representing various districts and departments, including Government Railway Police, Police Control Room Jammu and Srinagar, actively participated in the training programme.
Training Details
Expert instructors from the NSG Training Centre in Manesar, Haryana, conducted the training at the Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy (SKPA). The programme covered a wide range of topics such as bomb detection, neutralization, disposal techniques, post-blast investigation, and standard operating procedures (SOP).
