Mentally Unsound Individual Succumbs to Injuries After Being Hit by Car in Srinagar
In a tragic incident in Srinagar on February 10, a mentally unsound person tragically passed away after being struck by a car in the Chanapora area. The unfortunate event occurred on Monday morning, as reported by officials.
An official statement revealed that the unidentified individual was hit by a Swift Dzire vehicle with registration number JK01AU-0385 in the vicinity of Chanapora Srinagar. Following the accident, the injured person was promptly taken to SMHS Hospital Srinagar for medical attention.
Despite the efforts made to save him, the victim could not survive his injuries and eventually succumbed to them at the hospital, the official further disclosed.
Authorities have taken swift action by registering FIR No. 16/2026 at Sadder Police Station, invoking relevant sections of the law to investigate the matter thoroughly.
