Jammu and Kashmir Recruitment Agencies Collect Over 48 Crore in Application Fees
The Jammu and Kashmir government recently revealed that the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) and the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) jointly amassed more than 48 crore rupees in application fees over the past two financial years.
According to a response to a query posed by PDP MLA Waheed-ur-Rehman Para, the government disclosed a detailed breakdown of the fees collected by the two prominent recruitment agencies.
During the financial year 2023-24, JKPSC garnered 7.39 crore rupees, while JKSSB received 7.09 crore rupees from applicants. The subsequent year witnessed a significant surge in collections, with JKPSC accumulating 10.50 crore rupees and JKSSB 23.88 crore rupees.
Overall, JKPSC amassed 17.90 crore rupees, and JKSSB accumulated 30.98 crore rupees in application fees over the two-year period, as per the government’s response.
This substantial revenue generation through application fees highlights the immense interest and participation in government job opportunities in Jammu and Kashmir. It also underscores the financial significance of these recruitment agencies in the region.
