Jammu- The Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Omar Abdullah, has revealed a substantial budget of Rs 113767 crore for the Union Territory.
During the budget presentation in the UT Assembly, CM Omar Abdullah, as reported by the Kashmir News Observer (KNO), disclosed that the total net budget estimates for the fiscal year 2026-27 amount to Rs 113767 crore, excluding provisions for ways and means advances and overdraft.
“The total net budget estimates for the fiscal 2026-27 are Rs 113767 crore, excluding the provision for ways and means advances and overdraft,” stated CM Omar Abdullah.
Out of this amount, Rs 80640 crore is allocated for revenue expenditure, while Rs 33127 crore is designated for capital expenditure.
“Under the Budget Estimates 2026-27, there are expected revenue receipts of Rs 90018 crore and capital receipts of Rs 23749 crore,” announced the CM.
He also mentioned that both tax and non-tax own revenues are projected to be Rs 31800 crore.
“Additionally, there will be Rs 42752 crore as central assistance and Rs 13400 crore as Central Sector Schemes (CSS) allocated to Jammu and Kashmir,” he added. (KNO)
