Security Forces Continue Anti-Terror Operation in Kishtwar District
In a significant development, security forces have been engaged in an intensive anti-terror operation in the Dachaan area of Kishtwar district for the second consecutive day. The operation, which commenced after an exchange of fire that led to the elimination of one terrorist, is a joint effort by the Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police, and the CRPF.
The joint teams have maintained a tight cordon around the dense woods in the area, conducting thorough searches to ensure the safety and security of the region. Heavy deployment of forces has been implemented to dominate the area effectively and carry out extensive anti-terror measures.
While the identity of the terrorist killed in the encounter on Wednesday is yet to be officially confirmed, there are indications that he may be a foreign militant who has been operating in the region for some time. His body, along with a significant amount of arms and ammunition, was recovered from the encounter site late in the evening.
The ongoing operation underscores the commitment of the security forces to combat terrorism and maintain peace and stability in the region. The coordinated efforts of the Army, police, and CRPF reflect a strong determination to root out any threats to the safety and security of the area.
