GANDERBAL Outreach Programme by EPFO Regional Office Srinagar
In the midst of heavy snowfall in District Ganderbal, the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), Regional Office Srinagar, successfully organized its flagship outreach programme “Nidhi Aapke Nikat (NAN) 2.0” today. Despite the challenging weather conditions, EPFO ensured the smooth conduct of the NAN programme to provide social security services to members and stakeholders at their doorstep.
Leading the programme was the Regional Provident Fund Commissioner-II, Vinay Kumar, along with a team of EPFO officials. The objective of the outreach was to educate employers, employees, and other stakeholders about various EPFO services, schemes, and recent Government initiatives related to social security.
During the interaction, participants were informed about key Government initiatives aimed at enhancing social security and labor welfare nationwide. The discussion included details about the ongoing Employees’ Enrolment Campaign-2025, which offers establishments an opportunity to enroll eligible employees and regularize past records until 30 April 2026.
Moreover, the EPFO team highlighted the Government’s implementation of the Four Labour Codes to simplify, consolidate, and modernize labor laws for improved compliance and ease of doing business. They also shed light on the Prayaas Yojana, an essential initiative to ensure timely settlement of Provident Fund and Pension benefits upon superannuation.
Information about the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PMVBRY) was shared, emphasizing its objectives, key benefits, and implementation strategy. The EPFO team stressed on enhancing member services, including Joint Declaration, KYC updation, UAN generation and activation, and other online facilities available on the EPFO portal.
Throughout the programme, EPFO addressed several grievances and queries raised by employers and employees on the spot, showcasing their commitment to timely and effective grievance redressal even under adverse weather conditions.
Vinay Kumar, speaking at the event, reiterated EPFO Regional Office Kashmir’s dedication to expanding social security coverage to a maximum number of private sector employees. He highlighted the crucial role of EPFO schemes such as Provident Fund, Pension, and Insurance (EDLI) in providing financial security to employees and their families. He encouraged employers to ensure timely compliance and workers to utilize EPFO’s digital services for faster and transparent service delivery.
The programme concluded with an interactive session, reinforcing EPFO’s commitment to a member-centric, transparent, and technology-driven social security system, even in challenging terrain and weather conditions.
