Jammu Celebrates 77th Republic Day with Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha
On January 26th, Jammu witnessed a grand celebration of the 77th Republic Day, with Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha hoisting the National Flag at the UT level function held at MA Stadium in the morning.
During the event, Shri Manoj Sinha inspected the contingents of the Republic Day Parade and took the ceremonial salute, showcasing a display of discipline and patriotism.
The march-past was a sight to behold, featuring smart contingents from various forces including the Army, BSF, CRPF, SSB, IRP (Women & Male), J&K Police, JKAP, and UT Disaster Response Force among others. Additionally, the event witnessed vibrant tableaux representing key themes such as Operation Sindoor, Mission Yuva, and Road Safety, highlighting the developmental and cultural spirit of Jammu & Kashmir.
One of the highlights of the celebration was the Motorcycle Acrobatic display by the JKP’s Dare-Devils, captivating the crowd with their skills and precision. The event also featured a diverse cultural pageantry showcasing the rich heritage of the Union Territory.
Prior to the festivities, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha paid homage to the bravehearts of the Police, Army, and CAPFs at the Police Martyrs Memorial and Balidan Stambh, honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to the nation.
