Jammu and Kashmir Police Officers Honored with Gallantry and Service Medals
On the occasion of the 76th Republic Day, fifty-two Jammu and Kashmir Police officers and personnel were recognized for their exceptional bravery and service, as announced by an official spokesperson.

The prestigious awards included 17 officers who received the Medal for Meritorious Service, 33 personnel who were honored with the Medal for Gallantry, and two Deputy Inspector Generals who were bestowed with the President’s Medal for Distinguished Service.
Notable Awardees
Among the distinguished recipients of the Medal for Meritorious Service were Inspectors General of Police Mohammad Suleman Choudhary, Sujit Kumar, and Vivek Gupta. Deputy Superintendents of Police Himat Singh, Champa Devi Sharma, and Khushwant Singh, along with other deserving officers and personnel, were also recognized for their outstanding service.
Gallantry Awardees
The Medal for Gallantry was presented to individuals such as Deputy Superintendents of Police Javaid Ahmad Lone, Mohammad Ashrif, and Mohan Lal, as well as Inspector Younis Khan, Assistant Sub-Inspector Davinder Kumar, and Head Constable Shabeer Ahmad Narwaroo for their acts of bravery in the line of duty.

Additionally, Deputy Inspectors General of Police Haseeb Mughal and Nisha Nathyal were honored with the President’s Medal for Distinguished Service, underscoring their exemplary commitment to duty and service.
