ADC Handwara Oversees Snow Clearance Operations in GMC Handwara and Surrounding Areas
The Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) of Handwara, Javed Naseem Masoodi, took a proactive approach today by personally visiting the Government Medical College (GMC) Handwara and its neighboring areas to assess the impact of the recent snowfall and closely monitor the ground conditions.
Accompanied by key officials including Executive Engineer Farooq Ahmad from R&B Division Handwara, SHO Sofi Vilayat from Handwara, and Abdul Rashid Malik, General Secretary of Traders Federation Handwara, the ADC supervised the snow clearance operations across the sub-division. This hands-on approach ensured that all major roads in Handwara sub-division were cleared promptly, facilitating smooth vehicular movement and ensuring public safety.
ADC Handwara, in a statement to the media, highlighted that approximately 80% of the roads in Sub-Division Handwara had been cleared at the time of the visit. Additionally, efforts were underway to clear the inner roads of villages, with the Power Development Department (PDD) actively engaged in restoring electricity supply to affected areas.
On a positive note, Abdul Rashid Malik, General Secretary of Traders Federation Handwara, expressed gratitude towards the Sub-District Administration Handwara, particularly mentioning the timely response and effective management by ADC Handwara and SSP Handwara during the challenging snowfall period.
