Jammu Police Neutralizes Pakistani Jaish-e-Mohammad Terrorist in Kathua Gunfight
In a significant development, a Pakistani terrorist linked to the Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) group met his end in a dramatic gun battle with security forces in the Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday. This operation was confirmed by a senior police official.
The Inspector General of Police for the Jammu range, Bhim Sen Tuti, revealed that the terrorist was eliminated during a collaborative operation in the vicinity of Billawar. The successful mission was carried out jointly by the Jammu and Kashmir Police, the Army, and the CRPF.
“A Pakistani Jaish terrorist has been neutralised by a small JKP (J&K Police) team in a joint operation with the Army and CRPF in the general area of Billawar,” stated the Jammu police chief in a social media post.
Authorities identified the deceased militant as Usman, a high-ranking commander within the JeM organization. Upon searching the area, a significant cache of weapons and ammunition, including an M4 automatic rifle, was recovered from the slain terrorist.
