National Voters’ Day Celebration at Media Complex in Jammu
On the occasion of National Voters’ Day, the Director of Information and Public Relations, Nitish Rajora, led a ceremony at the Media Complex in Jammu. He administered the National Voters’ Day (NVD) Pledge to the officers and officials of the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) to mark the significance of the day.
The Director, along with the DIPR team, read out the pledge, emphasizing their dedication to upholding the democratic values enshrined in the Constitution of India. They also committed to exercising their electoral rights responsibly and encouraging greater participation in the electoral process.
During the event, the Director highlighted the importance of this year’s theme ‘My India My Vote’ for NVD. He explained that the theme focuses on strengthening democratic institutions and raising awareness about the significance of informed and ethical voting practices.
Furthermore, the Director stressed the role of DIPR in supporting the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) activities of the Election department. He urged DIPR personnel to actively engage in spreading voter awareness and promoting inclusive participation in elections.
