Review of Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) Implementation of RDSS in Poonch
In a recent meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner Ashok Kumar Sharma in Poonch on January 22, a thorough review of the implementation of the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS) by Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) was conducted.
During the meeting, the executing agency provided a comprehensive update on the progress and current status of the RDSS works in the district. Deputy Commissioner Sharma closely examined key components such as the material supply chain, feeder-wise work progress, and the availability and installation of essential equipment like electric poles, conductors, LT AB cables, DTRs, and transformers.
Recognizing the significance of timely project completion, the DC instructed the Executive Engineer (Xen) to prioritize ongoing works. Additionally, Junior Engineers (JEs) were tasked with conducting regular onsite inspections to ensure quality and accountability in the installation works. It was emphasized that maintaining geo-tagged photographic records of each project site is crucial for transparent and effective monitoring.
The meeting was attended by key officials including Executive Engineer JPDCL, Aftab Hussain, AEE Sub division Poonch, Surankote, Mendhar, and Mandi, as well as representatives from NTPC & SJ.
