Syllabus Relaxation Demanded for Jammu Division Students Ahead of JKBOSE Exams
The Private Schools Association J&K (PSAJK) has recently called for syllabus relaxation for students in the Jammu division as they prepare for their upcoming JKBOSE examinations. President of PSAJK, Nazrul Islam Baba, emphasized the need for this adjustment, particularly for students in Chinab Valley and Poonch, due to the significant loss of learning time experienced in the region.
According to Nazrul Islam Baba, ensuring parity in education is crucial and non-negotiable. He highlighted that if syllabus relaxation was granted to students in the Kashmir Division based on learning loss, denying the same relief to their counterparts in Jammu Division would be considered discriminatory and academically unethical.
It was further emphasized that students should not be penalized for circumstances beyond their control, such as regional and situational disadvantages. Any deviation from providing uniform academic relief could potentially widen regional disparities and undermine the credibility of the evaluation system, as per Baba’s statement.
PSAJK stands firmly in support of the legitimate demands put forth by students from Chinab Valley and Poonch, urging the Chairman of JKBOSE and Education Minister Sakina Itoo to intervene decisively in this matter.
Overall, the call for syllabus relaxation for Jammu Division students seeks to address the challenges faced by these students and ensure a fair and equitable examination process. It is essential to prioritize the educational needs of all students, regardless of their geographical location, to uphold the principles of equality and fairness in the academic sphere.
