Volleyball and Tug-of-War Competitions Promote Sportsmanship in Quilmuqam
In a bid to foster a growing sporting culture in Bandipora, enthusiastic local youth recently participated in volleyball and tug-of-war competitions at NM BHSS Kalosa in Quilmuqam as part of the Vande Mataram Campaign. The events, organized by the Directorate of Youth Services & Sports in collaboration with the District Administration Bandipora, showcased the talent and sportsmanship of the participants.
The competitions held in Zone Quilmuqam saw four teams competing in each discipline, demonstrating remarkable skill, discipline, and teamwork. Under the guidance of District Youth Services & Sports Officer Nazir Ahmad Bhat and supervision of Activity In-charge Andleeb Manhas, the activities were smoothly conducted, reflecting the growing sports culture in the area.
Aligned with the objectives of the Vande Mataram Campaign, which aims to promote physical fitness and a healthy lifestyle, the initiative received a positive response from the local youth. The events concluded with a prize distribution ceremony where the winning and runner-up teams were awarded trophies presented by Andleeb Manhas.
The successful organization of the competitions highlights the collaborative efforts of the Department of Youth Services & Sports, District Administration Bandipora, and local institutions in engaging youth and strengthening sports culture in the region.
