Civil-Police Friendly T20 Cricket Match Strengthens Coordination in Doda
In a bid to enhance coordination and camaraderie between the civil and police administrations in Doda, a civil-police-friendly T20 cricket match was recently organized at the Sports Stadium. The event, a joint effort by the District Administration Doda and the Police Administration Doda, aimed at fostering mutual understanding and promoting people-friendly policing.
The match, graced by the presence of Deputy Commissioner Doda, Harvinder Singh, and Commandant IRP 5th Battalion, Beoli Doda, Ifroz Ahmed, witnessed active participation from officers of both administrations. Additionally, students, senior citizens, and sports enthusiasts from the general public added to the vibrant atmosphere, showcasing their support for the initiative.
Deputy Commissioner Doda, Harvinder Singh, emphasized the significance of sports in promoting discipline, physical fitness, and unity. In the thrilling match, the Civil Administration Doda batted first, scoring 197 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. The Police Administration Doda, chasing the target, displayed a strong performance, achieving 198 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 17.2 overs, ultimately winning the match by 6 wickets.
