The Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) has recently announced the list of players who have been selected for the Ranji Trophy preparatory camp in Pondicherry. This camp is a crucial part of the association’s efforts to prepare and acclimatise the J&K team for the upcoming domestic season.
The decision to hold the camp in Pondicherry was made to ensure that the players are match-ready and exposed to different playing conditions. The players and support staff will travel to Chennai on January 16, 2026, from their respective locations, and then proceed to Pondicherry collectively by bus.
The players selected for the camp include Shubam Khajuria, Dikshant Kundal, Yawar Hassan, Paras Dogra, Abdul Samad, Shubam Pundir, Kanhaiya Wadhwan, Kawalpreet Singh, Abid Mushtaq, Vanshaj Sharma, Sahil Lotra, Aqib Nabi, Yudhvir Singh, Umar Nazir, and Sunil Kumar.
The support staff for the camp includes Head Coach Ajay Sharma, Fielding Coach Dighant Yagnik, Bowling Coach P Krishna Kumar, Manager Hilal Ahmad, Co-Manager Ravi Sharma, Trainer Sunny Kumar, Physiotherapist Chirag Pandya, Masseur Naresh Kumar, Video Analyst Susheel Pajnu, and Throw Arm Expert Manoj Singh.
Specific instructions have been given regarding video analysis, with all video material to be submitted daily to the Cricket Operations & Development Section. The aim of the preparatory camp is to ensure optimal preparation, fitness, and tactical readiness of the J&K team for the Ranji Trophy, while maintaining discipline and coordination during travel and training.
