Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education to Declare Class 10th and 12th Exam Results on January 14, 2026
The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) is set to announce the results of the class 10th and 12th examinations on January 14, 2026 (Wednesday). This decision was confirmed by Minister for Education Sakina Itoo in an exclusive interview with Greater Kashmir.
Minister Itoo stated that the government has opted to release the results of both classes on the same day in response to the students’ anticipation. The Result Declaration Committee (RDC) will convene a meeting to finalize the administrative approval process for the results, as the position of chairman JKBOSE has been vacant for the past year.
Following the result declaration, the government plans to appoint a permanent chairman for JKBOSE. The class 10th results will be announced in the morning, followed by the class 12th results in the late afternoon on the same day.
Greater Kashmir had previously reported on the delay in appointing a chairman for JKBOSE, prompting discussions on the issue. A significant number of students, including 68804 from Kashmir, 25224 from winter zone areas of Jammu division, 660 from Kargil, and 95 from Leh district, registered for the class 10th JKBOSE examination this year.
Additionally, 81622 students from Jammu and 17621 from winter zone areas of Jammu registered for the class 11th examination, while 70117 students, including 56423 from Kashmir and 13694 from winter zone areas of Jammu, registered for the class 12th examination. The examinations for class 11th and 12th were scheduled to be held on November 19 and November 8, 2025, respectively.
