Thiruvananthapuram Law and Order Situation: Amit Shah’s Warning

Union Home Minister Amit Shah raised concerns about Kerala’s law and order situation during a conclave organized by Kerala Kaumudi. He emphasized that while the current situation may appear calm, there are emerging threats that could pose serious dangers in the future.

Shah questioned the effectiveness of certain organizations in ensuring the safety of the people. He particularly highlighted the role of organizations like the PFI, Jama’at-e-Islami, and political parties like the SDPI in maintaining peace and unity in Kerala.

Referring to the ban on the Popular Front of India (PFI), Shah noted that the decision had led to the arrest of its members, contributing to enhanced national security. He stressed the significance of recognizing and addressing hidden dangers that could jeopardize Kerala’s safety.

Shah underscored the importance of ensuring both development and safety in Kerala. He emphasized the need for vigilance in identifying and mitigating potential risks.

Recent accusations by Kerala BJP chief Rajeev Chandrasekhar against the UDF constituent IUML and Jama’at-e-Islami for allegedly using religion to hinder BJP’s progress in the state have further fueled discussions on the delicate balance between politics and security in Kerala.
