Extensive Searches Continue in Kathua After Encounter
In Rajouri, security forces have been conducting extensive searches in areas of Kathua following an encounter that took place on Wednesday evening. Despite no fresh trace of terrorists in the last 48 hours, officials are actively pursuing leads in the Kamadh Nallah and adjoining villages in the forest area.
The cordon in these areas remains tight as security forces intensify efforts to track down the terrorists. Additionally, searches and counter-terror operations have been expanded to surrounding areas that could potentially serve as escape routes.
As of now, there have been no recent contact between security forces and terrorists. The J&K Police, Special Operation Group of Police, and the Army are collaborating on the operation with the aim of locating the terrorists.
Recovery of Camera Drone Near International Border
Meanwhile, security forces recovered a camera drone near the International Border (IB) in Jammu’s R S Pura. The drone, found in the Pura Farm area, has been sent to the technical laboratory for examination to trace its flight path.
The Border Security Forces discovered the drone on Thursday night, prompting further investigation to determine its purpose and origin. The drone’s recovery near the India-Pakistan border raises concerns about potential security threats in the region.
