Directorate of School Education Jammu Issues Fresh Instructions on Deployment of Teaching Staff
The Directorate of School Education Jammu (DSEJ) has recently issued new directives regarding the deployment of teaching staff within education department offices in the region. This move aims to streamline the utilization of teaching staff and ensure their focus remains on academic duties.
Dr. Naseem Javaid Chowdhary, Director School Education Jammu, highlighted the need for adherence to these instructions. Despite previous reminders, teaching staff members were found assisting with office work in the offices of Chief Education Officers and Zonal Education Officers.
The circular emphasized that teaching staff are specifically designated for academic responsibilities and should not be engaged in any form of clerical work within CEO/ZEO offices or other administrative settings.
All CEOs and ZEOs have been urged to promptly release any teaching staff currently working in their offices and ensure they return to their designated place of assignment without delay.
Furthermore, the Drawing and Disbursing Officers have been instructed to withhold the salaries of teaching staff members who fail to comply with these guidelines, effective immediately.
Non-compliance with these instructions may result in serious consequences and potential disciplinary actions as per the applicable regulations.
It is essential for all education department stakeholders to prioritize the academic duties of teaching staff and uphold the integrity of the educational system in Jammu. By adhering to these directives, the department can enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of its operations while ensuring that teaching staff members can fully dedicate their time and expertise to their primary role in shaping young minds.
