Athletes from Chinar Yuva Centre Shine at 7th Jammu and Kashmir Karate Championship
Recently, athletes from the Chinar Yuva Centre showcased their exceptional skills at the 7th Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory Karate Championship held in Jammu. The talented athletes managed to secure an impressive total of 17 medals at the highly competitive event, which saw participation from over 600 competitors from across the UT.
According to a statement released after the championship, a total of 21 students from the Centre participated in the event, with 17 of them clinching medals. This remarkable achievement highlighted the athletes’ dedication, discipline, and talent.
The statement emphasized the crucial role of structured sports training and youth empowerment initiatives in nurturing talent at the grassroots level. The success of the athletes serves as a testament to the effectiveness of such programs in promoting excellence in sports.
Not only did the championship focus on competitive excellence, but it also underlined the significance of sports as a powerful tool for youth development, discipline, and unity across Jammu and Kashmir. Organized by the Amateur Karate-Do Association of Jammu & Kashmir (AKAJK), the championship attracted participants from various districts across the Union Territory. Athletes competed in different categories, including Sub-Junior, Cadet, Junior, Under-21, and Senior, showcasing their skills and determination.
