The Under-5 Mortality Rate is 15, compared to the national average of 29, and the Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) is 14, against the national average of 25.

Jammu & Kashmir has excelled in immunization coverage, with full immunization reaching an impressive 96.5%, placing the region among the top performers in the country. This achievement is a result of rigorous routine immunization campaigns and robust monitoring mechanisms.
