PDP MLA Waheed Para Calls Out Government’s Inaction on Reservation Issue
Srinagar- Waheed Para, a member of the PDP, has criticized the government led by Omar Abdullah in Jammu and Kashmir for its lack of action in addressing the reservation issue. According to Para, the current reservation policy has become a critical concern affecting the future of the youth.
Para expressed his disappointment with the government’s inaction, stating that despite efforts made by him and other stakeholders over a year ago, there has been no significant progress towards resolving the reservation issue, causing increased uncertainty and anxiety among the youth.
As general category students prepare to resume their peaceful protest against the delay in reforming the quota policy, Para emphasized the importance of transparency in addressing the issue and urged for the reservation report to be made public.
He also highlighted the need for accountability within government institutions, such as the office of the Chief Minister and the Lieutenant Governor, in handling sensitive issues like reservations. Para stressed the importance of fairness and timely resolution of the reservation matter.
